So I finished New Moon last night. Very good. But after reading towards the end... can I just say I could smack Bella for a certain decision she made? Can I take her place "Edward"? PLEASE?!?!?!?!???!?!?!!??! LOL
Anyways, I can't wait to get started on the next book. I am finding that I am just miserable when I'm not reading or thinking about the story.
I'm going to be depressed when I am done with Breaking Dawn. I still have the unfinished Midnight Sun to read but that isn't enough. I wonder if Stephenie Meyer will ever reconsider and right another installment. I don't know if she will but I guess it doesn't hurt to hope. :) If not, I will write it myself. Of course it would be for my eyes only but I HAVE to have closure! LOL
I'm almost done with New Moon and am anxious to sink my teeth into Eclipse. Kiddo said to me last night... "Mom, you've been reading like crazy. You should take a break! You'll be done with the series before the second movie ever comes out!" She's right. I will be. LOL But I can't take a break. I... Just... Can't!
I must say, NM has been a real test of my patience. Things that took place early on, made me very sad and frustrated. I'm anxious for those things to be resolved. I may be even more upset about it all than "Bella" is! LMAO!!
"Black Friday" needs to be done away with. I am so sick of people that go to the stores on this day each year. Precisely why I do not go out. People get literally INSANE. People are driving like idiots and are running people down in the stores... Every year on the news, you hear of people being hospitalized from being trampled, attacked, shot... It is ridiculous!
This so-called "tradition" of shopping big sales the day after Thanksgiving needs to end. There is no reason for it. Christmas should not be all about shopping for gifts anyway. But when this shopping turns into some blood-thirsty sport, that is where a line needs to be drawn.
I don't do any gift shopping or anything after Thanksgiving. I order everything online. I won't go to stores and fight through crowds of rude, obnoxious idiots. I will not fight for parking spaces or wait in mile long lines at the registers. I will not get pushed or shoved because I will end up in jail for murder at that point. I spare myself all of this nonsense and just order from the comfort of my own home. I wish more people would do the same and spare others this nonsense.
The holidays should be a happy, enjoyable time but these fools that form mobs in these stores make it miserable for everyone. They are miserable themselves. Why the ---- is ANY of this necessary?!
At home or in the theater: What's the last great movie you watched?
Oh well... that's a no brainer for me. That would be Twilight. :) I know there are a lot of those that thought it was awful but honestly, I could watch it every single day and never get tired of it. I've already gone to see it twice and may be going again next weekend. LOL
When I first heard that Ace Young was going to star in the Broadway production of Grease, I was like, "HUH??" I didn't see him fitting in with that at all. After seeing his Macy's Thanksgiving Parade performance... I am eating my words. He is AWESOME!!
I don't do "Black Friday" shopping. I refuse. I don't do any real shopping in stores at all after Thanksgiving. I order everything online.
Oldest has to work today. Husband is asleep (as if I care). So I decided that Kiddo and I will go see Twilight again. Is there any better way to spend the morning? LOL She loves the movie too. She's not obsessed with it like I am and frequently rolls her eyes at me but she does like it. I wish I could get her to read the books but she won't. Maybe someday. :)
I can't wait to see the movie again. I'm speeding through New Moon right now and will be done with it before the weekend is over. Then onto Eclipse. I have never been so in love with a book series. Twilight is to me what Harry Potter is to Oldest. ;)
Despite the countless reviews at Fandango that said the movie was horrible... I have to agree with the people I have personally talked to. It was AWESOME!!!!!! There were so many moments that I was just biting my lip and on the edge of my seat... ok... and drooling over Edward. :D
There were things about the movie that could have been improved on. There were little key moments in the book that didn't make it into the movie. If they were left in, the movie would have actually flowed a little more smoothly but if you read the book, you are aware of what was skipped over and you can imagine it was there.
I am just so glad to have been able to go and see it and now I can dig into the next book. :)
It's weird... reading reviews online about Twilight... a large number of them are very negative. But I have talked to several people over the past two days (IRL) and they have all said that the movie is awesome!
I bought another t-shirt today so I will be all decked out in Twilight gear tomorrow. LOL! I can't wait!!
I go see Twilight in the morning. I'm a little worried about it but am trying not to pay too much attention to the reviews and go in with an open mind. I already know a lot of key moments have been left out which really isn't anything surprising because that always seems to be the case when a movie is based on a book but again... I'm worried about what I will think of it.
Here's hoping I will enjoy it. I probably will but.. I still worry. LOL
I am in LOVE with the Twilight series... and Edward. I didn't get to read yesterday and it was depressing me so bad. It was all I could think about and I was actually angry that I didn't have time to sit and read.
I just downloaded the movie soundtrack. I don't normally care for them but I wanted this one. I just burned the cd and will be listening to it on the way to work this morning.
I can't wait til Sunday when I can see the movie!! WHEEEE!!!!
